SAVE A KITTEN!! Now’s the time when we need to be aware of kittens that are dropped off at the curb or on the side of the road, even in a dumpster, and trapped in a bag or a box. Now, let us help and shelter pets around each community. Help save kittens!
A quote from a website featuring kitten season states, “If you’ve got five minutes to spare, you too can become a hero this kitten season.” Finding unwanted kittens a new home or shelter would really help them from experiencing any life-threatening situations. It would also help cat-lovers to add a new member to their family, and even other families deciding to adopt one too. Kitten season is usually when it gets warm until early winter, which is when a litter of kittens are born and wait to join a family. Anyone should appreciate the idea of any person saving a kitten from harm at any time.
The percentage of kittens that are harmed or found dead is about 9% per year. This shows that many kittens are not sheltered or do not have a home. If you ever find anything that is beside the road, it may be a kitten that is trapped inside a bag or box. In an anonymous interview, the interviewee stated, “Kittens could also be hidden when they are scared. Which makes it harder for us to aid them into a shelter.” I think this answer could also be another reason most kittens that are stranded, makes it harder for us to shelter them. In another interview, a Crownpoint High School student said, “I think people who plan to have kittens should plan out on what they are going to do with the litter. That way it would be easier for kittens to find a home.” This strategy would really help give kittens homes too, which is a good strategy to implement before planning on a litter.
Have you ever planned to have a kitten? The most common time to adopt is during kitten season! Unfortunately, I did not record any survey answers on what people think about the con side of kitten season. However, most people would agree that those who plan to have kittens should brainstorm on what to do afterwards. Another way is to have your cats neutered if you are not planning to have a litter. It would really help prevent from any of these situations from happening! Therefore, if your eye catches a stranded kitten, do not be afraid to save their life by calling the shelter to have them cared for. Any animal shelter would be most likely to be at your service to help the kitten!
Do not ever be afraid to save a kitten’s life. Anyone, especially people that love having a feline companion, would appreciate you saving a kitten’s life…and so would the kitten that you are currently saving! And maybe that kitty will have a loving family to live the rest of its life with. Save a kitten!
