Traveling can be done in a variety of ways, but what is your favorite way to travel? Traveling can be accomplished through several modes of transportation, but the most common ways that people travel are by plane or by car. But when you come from a small community like Crownpoint, it is not easy to book a flight or travel to places. This article will explain the different methods of traveling out here in the Crownpoint community, and what it is like for people in our community to travel to different places. This article will also discuss many good locations to visit around the world.
Is it possible to travel around the Rez? Crownpoint, New Mexico, is known as a small community, and many people own vehicles but vehicles often break down as well. Many students that attend Crownpoint High School have their own way to go to school. Many students that live in Crownpoint usually walk to school due to the short distance. The remaining students get dropped off by their parents or ride the bus to school due to the long distance. These methods prove that high school students still have a conceivable way to travel to school.
When holidays come around or during summer break, some students from Crownpoint High School like to go out of town and go to places with their families on vacation during the break. Not that many people on the rez can travel to places for the holidays, so some people stay home, while other relatives come to town to visit. According to an interview with freshman Crownpoint High School student, Sheldon Billie, he said, “During Summer break I went on a trip to Disneyland, and we drove there in a vehicle. On the way back home, I had to transfer into my grandma’s SUV because it was too crowded.” This shows that a vehicle is viable way to travel, even for longer distances.
In an interview with another first-year student, Brent Spencer, he explained, “Three years ago during the summer, my family and I went on a road trip to visit Yellowstone national park, and we went there in a car. It was a very long to get there, but my family and I had a fun time.” These experiences show what it may be like to travel to places for the first time.
Have you ever imagined visiting a very delightful place outside of the reservation? Not that many people leave the community of Crownpoint because the people do not have the money to book a plane to go places. The only times people leave Crownpoint is when they are running low on everyday needs, and they have to travel to stores, which far away from here.
If the people in our community had the money to book a plane, they would have the ability to go to the place they dreamed of going to. Based on a previous survey of five people, 40% wanted to travel to France, 40% wanted to travel to the United Kingdom, and the remaining 20% wanted to travel to Germany. This survey proves that if students could fly anywhere in the world, they would go to their favorite place they have dreamed of traveling to.
Although we come from a small community like Crownpoint, traveling can be the biggest benefit for small communities. Also, the people that have no way of traveling will still try to find new ways to travel to places they need to go. There are many ways to travel, but what will be your way of getting to your next destination?
