Football may be the most entertaining yet dangerous sport. Reading my article will allow you to have a chance to learn about the many types of injuries one can get from playing football. This article could show future and current football players.
There are diverse types of injuries and other types of challenges football players may experience. On the local news, it has been said that more high schools are adding a safety cap that is a Guardian caps. This is a new helmet accessory that is likely to decrease the number of concussions in many football games. This is a massive safety issue because of the percentage of high schools that are using these new caps.
Recently, I have heard about a rule change that has been made. These rules deal with the restrictions on blindside blocks and with any kind of physical contact with the upper region; an example would be the head. Isaiah Jean, a Crownpoint High School student seemed to feel the same, as he stated that the school should enforce the restrictions.
I sent out a poll that would allow me to estimate how many people agree and disagree with Crownpoint High-School ordering and issuing Guardian caps to athletes. These new football accessories are making many new appearances all over the news and social media. This means we could potentially see a new appearance on the field.
While gathering information, I read that many players can have fatigue that can affect gameplay. The many examples of fatigue are stress, tiredness, soreness, and exhaustion. These are just a few of the examples that I have found and heard about from my peers. Through a survey of many other current and non-football players, I was able to gather a variety of opinions and thoughts on the subject. A majority voted “No” to the safety caps, and I would say the same, because the downside of the caps would be the weight of them. These caps can vary depending on the size of the player’s helmet, so I can agree that the weight would be a negative aspect of these caps. On the other hand, these can increase the safety of one’s head during each play.
There are many other ways to prevent the risk of getting badly hurt in football. The first way would simply be staying active even on an off day. Exercise during “off time” is a lot more to handle, but keeping a routine on the weekends could decrease the chance of getting injured. The second way would be to drink lots of water. It seems tempting to grab the soda and drink it, but it will drastically decrease your energy and will make you lazier. Another way would be to have a steady meal plan, meaning to lower your consumption of junk food and sodas. Eating healthier can increase your body mass and while exercising, it could make you a lot stronger. My final solution would be to create a well-fit physique that can keep you healthy along with the proper diet.
Regardless of your thoughts regarding safety, you can always improve your success by being aware of dangers. Being prepared and having knowledge of potential injuries can help you improve your chances. As always, do the best you can, if you can do it 100 percent, do it, if you can only do 50 percent, do it. With the help of others, you can achieve anything with the right mindset!
